I have a VOIP phone number that I rarely use. Is there a way to
get
BBBS to see the VOIP service without much hardware or software.
Under Linux. I know, possibly easier to get a line, but I was just
curious
Do not know why you wish the bbs to know that but setting up a
VOIP connected to your broadband is straight forward providing
you have the speicial box to connect to the router and your
phone.
I have that set up here and got the account through a UK comany
although it is 11.94 pm.
I think I know the box that you mean and I may have one in my box of
many abondoned projects :)
I was kind of hoping there was a software solution to save having
hardware involved. A sort of a vmodem or something. But I guess those
days are long gone.
I paid 30 pounds for it and it was pre-configured but without access to the passwords for the three user accounts which they refuse to supply.
All requests totally ignored.
Yes you can buy this unit elsewere BUT it must be configured for the service you are using - too much of a pain to think about :(.
