Hello Alan!
Friday February 04 2022 16:00, you wrote to me:
I cannot see how you set up the port in mbse and I think I have
looked every where (unless some one knows otherwise by doing a
search of the manual for '24554') as it looks like 24554 is the
standard and can't be changed - or can it ?
When I have wanted to do that I changed the port in /etc/services.
I'm not sure if there is a way to have one instance of MBSE use port
24554 and another 24555 on the same machine, but if they are on
different machines this works.
No, I want two boxes - ok a box and a half running their own copy of mbse where
the Pi has a special network address and has as its uplink the primary system to get and pass files, netmail and echo traffic to it.
mbse will not be doing a lot and and web and hopefully the ftp interfaces will not be used.
If any files arrive on the primary I wil have to have some kind of script to transfer them to the Pi. Just another function to work out but I really hope that is not needed!
Thanks for the suggestion.
Vincent
