"No Biden did not take FEMA money to use on migrants," (Karine Jeane-Piere 2024)
"FEMA regional administrators have been meeting with city officials on site, t
coordinate federal support from FEMA and other federal agencies. Funding is also available through FEMA's emergency food and shelter program to eligible local governments and non-profit organizations on request, to support humanitarian relief for migrants." (Karine Jeane-Piere, 2022)
Do you have sources for these quotes?
I think they are playing acronym games in order to prove that the
accusations are false.
FEMA is a "child" agency under DHS. Supposedly, DHS doles out money (and
some other things) "through FEMA." Now, the game is that they can say
"FEMA money wasn't used, it was DHS money." However, since all FEMA money
is DHS money, and they are distributing the DHS money "through FEMA," I
can't help but think there is a link.
IMHO, DHS should not be doling out aide money and supplies for non-citizens until they have shored up FEMA and have all of the US citizens covered
first. I posted an article a few weeks back, before Helene, that discussed
how FEMA was still behind on providing aide to areas affected by hurricanes in past years, never mind 2024.
In case anyone is questioning whether or not FEMA is involved at all in
aide to migrants, here is a link to a press release from their own website which I have posted here before.
