What a day. October 7, 2023. We remember it all. How it began.
A day like no other day in history. How it ends nobody knows.

Today is the first anniversary of the Great Slaughter, when
over 1,200 people were obliterated at a music festival in Israel,
with another 250 people taken hostage. Since then, over 40,000
innocent men, women and children have lost their lives due to
the conflict in Gaza, with no end in sight. The destruction of
buildings, hospitals, and homes has been devastating. And people
are starving, with disease taking hold, leading to even more
deaths.

What to do? What to do? Aaron Thomas says we should pray.
Pray for Trump to be elected president. As if that is going
to solve the problems those people are facing.

But hey. Maybe Aaron is right. Or at least half right. We should
all pray. Pray for what is right, and just. If only we can figure
out what that right and just is.

And then it came to me. What is right and just. It really is
quite simple. Prayer works. And it should be obvious to all -

Oh God, You Are Peace
