Third case of COVID, I suppose I'm getting better at it -- tested
negative after 6 days. Still exhausted in the afternoons.

Summer really came and went quickly. We had a quiet summer, my daughter
went to summer school, so that took most of June. She's now caught up
with her friends because she transferred schools and the course plans
    were different.

My mother's memorial service was in June - it was nice to see a huge
turnout and I was relieved to have the eulogy done.

Work is crazy, I've been working on a top-sekrit project to spin off a subsidiary from the parent company. The announcement is public and I'm responsible for building the IT organization and working with the parent company to carve out data belonging to us and setting up the new
environment. Looking forward to being able to control the environment
locally instead of having a team around the world take 2 weeks to answer
    "no" to any changes. :)

We did a quick week at Russian River in wine country up in Northern
California. My 15 year old daughter brought 3 friends with her, and it
was as loud as you could expect. It was nice to get out of town for a
week, even though I had a couple of work calls I had to take.

The last few weeks we've had our bathrooms redone. We have 2 full baths
that're being redone, with a half-bath available. We've been using my
mother's bathrooms, her house is 5 minutes away. Looking forward to
    showering at home this week.

School starts next week, so no more daughter wanting me to take her and
her friends to Starbucks or Chipotle during my work day. Looking forward
to a quiet house again. :)

Sounds like you've been pretty busy for sure.

    I love Chipotle steak burritos.

I have decent A/C. It's all the work I need to do outside and all of these doctor appointments that I have to go back and forth in the heat. Being out in the heat makes me ill and irritates all of my health issues so it's something I avoid if at all possible.
