• PCBoard + Binkd setup questions

I'm running PCBboard 15.4 in an OS/2 (actually, AracOS) guest machine on Virtualbox. The Host machine is Ubuntu 24.
I'm trying to add FTN nets and can't quite get it working!

    1. I'm using Ray Gwinn's SIO and Virtual Modem to provide multi-node access over telnet, that works great!
    2. I'm running binkd on the *Host Ubuntu machine*, with shared folder access to the Guest OS.
    3. I'm using PCBoard's internal tosser (but not the mailer of course -- that's binkd)

Binkd is working fine, but I'm unsure what to do with the packets when I receive them. I'm unzipping them out of in_sec folder, and into the "Incoming Packet" folder defined PCBoard's FIDO config -- but when PCBoard's tosser runs, it moves them to the "BADPKT" folder... Archiver config is correct (pkunzip).

Any tips on what I'm doing wrong??

(I did try QFront based on an older thread, but really couldn't get it to work, and would like to use binkd if possible.)

    Thanks!

Answered my own question -- got it to work, Per the docs (of course):

Adding a User Record for the Coordinator / Host:
PCBFido keeps track of information about other sites you exchange mail with in user records. Before mail can be sent, we have to have a user record defined for the coordinator.

Super convenient to have online access to the PCBoard docs on this wiki -- https://kuehlbox.wtf/wiki/doku.php
