I hate to ask this very basic and dumb question. Once you setup Mystic
BBS and have it configured the way you want it to be. You load the
server ( mis) and your up and running. How have you configured you
network so that you can get incoming telnet calls? What other steps have you done to be online?

The best way will be to buy a domain and a cheap hosting plan. Then you can just zip your mystic folder on your home computer, and upload it to the host machine and unzip it there in the folder called public_html. I highly recommend a host that lets you have port 23 open, such as OVHCloud.com. I pay like $6
per month for my cheap hosting plan. It's excellent. Other hosting companies won't let you open port 23 on their cheap plans.

So for like $7.00 ($1.00 for a domain and $6.00 for hosting) you can be online fast, easy, and on a very fast and efficient server. Any domain will be fine
it don't have to be a .com or anything. Get the one that matches your BBS name as best you can (megamanbbs.com or something.)

Some BBS people do the web-hosting part at home by allowing incoming connections to their home computer via their router. That is doable but it has a couple drawbacks. (But it saves you from paying for a monthly hosting fee.) If you do that, you'll also need to install server software like apache to make your hosting easy. But you're better off not going this route. Better to get a cheap hosting plan:

Once you have it set up you can either log in locally on the remote machine (it's easy) and/or you can keep working on your bbs on your local machine and keep on uploading your updated bbs files to the remote machine.

The Mystic bbs package comes with a file called mis.exe (windows) or mis (linux) and that is your wait for caller system. just run it from your mystic folder and (on many hosting plans) a folder on the remote machine called public_html

You can do it! either way, let us know which way you want to go with it if you need more help.
