Anyone know how to force setting to the local message group every time
you log in, or make reading/replying to own mail on login work without having to manually set your base first?
One could edit the prelogin, firstcmd to include (MG) Data=1...
MG - Change Message Group
Data: "+", "-", <Group ID>, or None
This action will list the Message Groups that the user has access to,
excluding any groups flagged as "hidden" and then prompt the user to
select a group.
If the data is set to "+" then Mystic will move to the next available
message group.
If the data is set to "-" then Mystic will move to the previous available message group.
If the Group Unique ID is supplied, Mystic will automatically change the
user into the specific message group.
When joining a message group, Mystic will display the "group#" display file from the theme's text directory if it exists, where # is the group's ID.
However, I don't have to do this so... there must be another setting that is smarter to use; I think I remember setting new users; or ALL users??? to message conference 1 in the settings? Or am I cuckoo? Just trying to help... I bet a smarter sysOp will post a better solution. This could be one that forces it, tho.
