I posted this is Fido also but here goes, trying to add a RLOGIN Out to my Doors Menu, I have others. After adding, it will not "dial out", it just sits there. The ones done before A47 work fine. I even tried to copy a pre-existing one and pasting it and changing the info to the new and it doesn't "dial out". Can someone test adding a new IR command and see what happens??

Hi Al,

I just set up a simple listener to test this, TL-DR; it does dial out for me. Here's how I tested;

on my local pc, in a terminal I run netcat in listen mode;

$ nc -lvnp 4444
Listening on 0.0.0.0 4444

From here, I made a quick menu entry like this;

Command ³ (IR) Outbound RLOGIN
Data ³ /addr=192.168.1.192 /port=4444 /user=@USER@ /pass=@USER@
Access ³
Grid Event ³ Selected

When I ran that menu item, I saw this in Mystic;

Command -> /RRR

Escape sequence is CTRL+].
Connecting to 192.168.1.192 port 4444.
Connected.

And in the listener I saw this;

Connection received on 192.168.0.201 27919
MeaTLoTioNMeaTLoTioNansi/57600

I am wondering if this isn't a windows issue.. I am still on windows.. I have other IR options and they work fine, this one for some reason just doesn't kick it.. If i copy a pre-existing command it doesn't work.. gonna play some more with it I guess..

Nice find, how many characters was the @USER@ being expanded to may I ask? Might be something g00r00 needs to know about to make an adjustment to the length of the allowed value of that variable?

I was adding in the Arcade Game Server and his app asks for your BBS name and uses that plus your user name so it was going to be "The Wrong Number ][ BBS (at)USERS(at) Way to long, when I dropped it down to WN2 and the user it worked...
