In this one instance I won't add spoilers but just wanted
to signal the use of (sp) in subject lines and ask everyone
they do so if they are posting or replying to someone and
sharing/dicussing plot spoilers in their posts.

Nobody dies. The gods go on. The story continues..
You can always do this:
SPOILER:
Abobql qvrf. Gur tbqf tb ba. Gur fgbel pbagvahrf..
ROT13 is not always convenient. It works OK in MultiMail though.. :)

I know.. but that's the point. If it is a bit inconvenient it
helps to avoid the reader to cheat too easily - they have to
work at it, a bit - and when they do, they have no one else to
blame when they read the spoiler! :D

I guess, but I like to keep it simple and just add it to the subject.
It also means we should be trying to ensure when we reply
the subject is still accurate.
Did the Loki series start?
I was disappointed to learn that Wandavision was only for 1 season. They did a good job I thought going back to the 50's 60's and 70's TV sitcoms.

But as people here know, many don't bother to adjust the
subject line when it would be best to do so.
The encoded spoiler trick is selfcontained within its own
block, or in multiple blocks throughout the text as someone
describes their review.
Some people may not notice an (sp) or something similar in the
title, navigate to a message and suddenly and inadvertently
find themselves reading story details.
OR.. maybe the in-clear-spoiler can be pushed way down in the
current message, like this:
PAGE DOWN for SPOILER.
And here we are. The lead character dies (again), or so it
seems.
Encoding text to negate spoilers I think is overkill.
