I've watched EP1 and plan to post some thoughts about it soon. Note that I
have added (sp) in the subject line to flag to anyone this post contains spoilers.

In this one instance I won't add spoilers but just wanted to signal the use
of (sp) in subject lines and ask everyone they do so if they are posting or replying to someone and sharing/dicussing plot spoilers in their posts.

I know.. but that's the point. If it is a bit inconvenient it
helps to avoid the reader to cheat too easily - they have to
work at it, a bit - and when they do, they have no one else to
blame when they read the spoiler! :D

I checked when shortly after the last episode aired and there was no definitive answer, onbviously now confirms what you've said which is indeed disappointing.

Encoding text to negate spoilers I think is overkill.

But if we start using it, then they will soon cotton on.
