Have found the free version of Lora BBS 2.99 source code you can compile for DOS-Linux-Windows-OS/2. Am running the 2.99 non-free version of running which will answer when called into it.

This source code is written in C++...so made sure I installed watcom & tried
to install gcc. Yum said I had a newer version already installed in ArcaOS
than what was available for download.

Does anyone know how I would compile this for OS/2-ArcaOS? If I were to
compile it in Linux...would I be able to compile it for any of the available OS's? Have very little to no experience compiling source code. I can compile it...as long as I leave the open source license with it...just compile it & provide copies for download on my board?

I don't know if there is a cross compiler for (or if it would work)
cross compiling on Linux for other platforms.

Lora is GPL license, which means you can provide copies of binaries for download, but you must also make the source available at request
(easiest is to just have a source archive along with the binary archive
you are distributing.)

BTW...loaded up those ANSI's you did for me as the logon for TG/2. Was apprehensive about the size of them throwing off the logon script...but both are perfect. Thank you again!

I hope you do, I've wanted to play with Lora for a while, but haven't
got it to work yet. I suspect it may need a bit of love to get working,
and one of the things that threw me off was the github repo didn't
contain the data files, only the source.

I tried using data files from an older version, but have no idea if they
are compatible or not - perhaps that's why the linux binary crashed, I
don't know.

Anyway, if you do get it working, I'd love to know how :)

Am going to get some info on how to compile the OS/2 version with watcom

From what I've seen from source code for Linux...it looks like everything is there to build the program.

I certainly will & let everyone else know as well. Was told Robert Wolfe has had it...but not sure if he got it running or not.
