Both g00r00 and Digital Man have done amazing things for the bbs community.I have used both of their products over the past 15 years or
so. The factthat they still actively support and develop in 2020 is an amazing feat thatI, and I'm sure others appreciate.
It's also great to see other packages being worked on. apam's various projects and Enigma 1/2 which I am playing with right now.
Definitely agree with you on all 4 of those softwares. :P I do particularly like Enigma.5 right now, as a 'lust' software that I don't have time to learn but wish I did.
I also like the WWiV guys, if nothing else they have a solid group of people trying to develop it further ATM. It seems like they are about to go down the route of adding features that you find in Mystic, but at some point you have to add the good- no matter where it came from. I dig it.
I also think x84 was a cool project... I wish the devs kept going. With the package, and the extras you can grab off their github, theres tons of python modules that aren't added to a stock installation. Sure, its all python and its strung together.. but if one really wanted to modify it you could build whatever you wanted. AND, the way they handle CP437/UTF8 is awesome. Just type telnet from the command prompt, and x84 systems look perfect... now thats pretty rad.
Anyway, I'm stoked that Mystic is strong and being developed. It's home.. but even if it went away tomorrow, we are sitting pretty in 2020 for BBS packages.
