  • Question for Windows

    I don't know if there are any/many Windows users here, but I am curious how much it would bother people if the node Windows go away on the Windows side?

    You'd be able to snoop nodes from the MIS window or from Nodespy or using the snoop menu command if you are logged into your BBS and want to snoop.

    I am not saying I am getting rid of them I just want to get a feel for what people think about the idea.

    I'm not a Windows users, haven't been for almost 20 years but as someone who runs Mystic on a headless Linux server, I have never had a need for a node window. The nodespy feature is good enough for me.

    Seeing how I have never used it, I can honestly say that I would not miss it! :-)

    Not sure I would miss it, I do look at it to see if anyone is logged on. If
    you took it away I probably wouldn't miss it..

    I just moved my BBS over from a Linux VM to a local Windows 10 machine this weekend, and the node window was something I'd never seen before as a Mystic Linux user -- I was pleasantly suprised at the ability to snoop! However, I'm also very used to Nodespy -- so as a brand new Windows sysop, it would be fine for me if it went away.

    I am not saying I am getting rid of them I just want to get a feel for what people think about the idea.

    I kinda like having it sitting on my taskar where I can pop it up and have a quick look at whats going on. Most of the time when i rdp in I have it open
    in the corner.

    Maybe you could add the xtra functionality to nopespy if you decide to drop
    it?
