  • connecting a c64 to mystic

    So I have several c64's lying around, I'd really like to be able to connect them up to mystic.

    Aside from the c64 side of things wifi modem or whatever I choose on that
    end, what things do I need to do to Mystic itself in order to support the platform?

    I know c64 uses 40 column, so a 40 column theme seems appropriate, does
    anyone have one lying around?

    Anything else I need to consider?

    I dont think Mystic supports petscii (I could be wrong though)...

    If you wanted to use a BBS package, then Synchronet supports petscii and does convert some chars on the fly I believe. (Dont have one to confirm though.)

    I do a lot of bbsing from my c64. I primarily call other c64 systems as
    trying to call a system that uses a lot of ansi and that doesn't offer either
    a 40 col theme or an ascii theme is near impossible to understand. I can't
    even call my own bbs from my c64 until I create a 40 col petscii theme.

    Dang, that is what I was afraid of.

    Might have to set up a c64 compatible daughter bbs heh. :)
