Is it the entire key switch you need? What's wrong with it, is it just notresponding? Have you tried deoxit? Usually fixes faulty keyswitches
for me.
Yeah I pulled it completely apart and I could probably bend it back to working order. However I think the metal is just too fatigued from the many years, so it's likely to die again at some point.
Also small correction it was short stem that I actually needed. However I found some on ebay so picked up 3 for future problems.
It's kinda nice in a sense that the key forced me to take it all apart anyways. I desoldered that terrible ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the mainboard. I'll replace it with wires from an IDE cable as seems to be the common choice. I also want to do this new vblank sync mod that I was reading about which is quite interesting. 3 wires and some pulled legs of chips and suddenly you can sync on the vblank. Amazing what gets discovered decades later in that old hardware.
