I once ran an 8 line warez distro board in the 90's and have kept all
the old warez on backup. You can find alot of hard to get DOS reversing
appz on the board. Currently i have over 8000 cracks/patches/keygens
online, Offline i have over 1 million. So if you are looking for a crack/patch/keygen that you can't find on the board, just drop me a msg
and i can search my offline archive for you. If there is anything i can
do to support the BBS comunnity, i am happy to do it.
Just to let the community know, Danger Bay BBS is the Official BBS Door Gamez & Appz Museum.
Can you explain this statement? I've seen it on your ads, your welcome screen, etc. and I've always been curious.

Don't be pedantic, my BBS is the WHQ for ascii interpronz.
I have also programmed a Door Database that details all the working aspects of each door. It is a searchable database which makes it handy
for finding that door you are looking for. The database is not complete yet, but it is online and seems to be running fine. Most of the intro screens, user manuals and some file_id.diz i created for the database to make it more viewer friendly. Check it our sometime.
Ahh yeah, I've seen you post about your door database before. That does sound pretty cool. I'll call up and take a look soon. It'll be an interesting test to see if you have an entry on my favorite obscure door game no one has ever heard of. In fact, you couldn't even find it on any of the BBS file sites until I tracked it down from a local SysOp who
used to ran it and spread it around. :P

But is it official? :)
Alright Jack, ILL BITE! What is this infinitely obscure door of which
you speak?
Hey now, I don't want to tip him off before I check to see if he has it. :P As soon as I login and check I'll reply.

Are they just for DOS doors and games, or for anything DOS? :)
It in fact, isn't there. Not in the door menu OR in the database! :D Now I'm not sure if I should tell the world (err, Scinet?) about it and potentially blow my chance to set it up on my board and be the official museum of... just that one door, and finally make my mark on the BBS scene and the millions of dollars that comes with such an uber elite status! Hmmmm. ;)
Please don't keep me in suspense. What is the name of the game?
lol The name of the games is guess the game. lol
By the sounds of it, i'm sure i don't have it, and if that's the case i'm already dying to have it. What's the game and when are you going to upload it to the Danger Bay BBS Door Gamez & Appz Museum?
The original Darkness??? :D
It's simply called "Cyberspace". It was originally a WWIV door, I believe, though the board I used to play it on ran VBBS. Anyway, it's basic a BBS implementation of a social/creative MUD where your users can create their own rooms and items and just basically build a giant world. Some cool features, like the ability to upload text and ANSI (with moderation!) execute other doors from within the world, etc. It was an amazingly effective time sink back in the dial-up days. :)

That sounds a little like the Simcity 2000 and 3000 games, especially
when you get to the "time sink" point. I used to waste hours a day playing those!
WOW, that is one monster of a games. The user manual is huge. I never
seen a game with this many user commands. The only other game that comes to mind is Ultimate Universe.
I installed it and ran INIT.EXE. It runs, but when i get to the message "Do you want to change the automessage?" I crashes with a "Runtime error 201 at 0910:05FC". Pascal error 201 is a "range check error". Not sure what that may mean. I'm wondering if my chain.txt file is correct. I used Doormaster to convert and it created a 30 line chin.txt file. I noticed there are no subdirs either.
Clearly a relic from before we realized that a significant portion of people can't be trusted with making their own content because they'll fill it with trolly bullshit and/or take every opportunity to screw up other people's work... but hey, I'm an idealist! ;)
LOL, yes, in the days before the internet trolls became BBS trolls. :)
*Eyeballs my local Planets: TEOS game where someone has gone through the effort of renaming pretty much every single planet in the game to some utter trash meant only to attempt to trigger people*
I guess they were entertained though, and that's what we're trying to do, right? :/
Yes, but that sure is a lot of effort for what probably won't be seen by too many folks. :(
I plan to install every door ever made that will run on PCBoard. I have 920 Gamez and 110 appz running now with lots more to go. I want to
